We are not only builders and designers of small spaces and communities; we are also advocates for people living in smaller houses. We believe there is a movement afoot that represents a fundamental shift in how people view housing and, more importantly, how they live their lives. Living in a house that is less than 600 square feet won’t appeal to everyone. A growing number of people, however, have concluded that more square footage doesn’t lead to more happiness and actually adds complication to your life.
Living smaller allows you to focus on the quality and quantity of your experiences, contribute to your community, and create space to live a meaningful life. A smaller house isn’t a cure-all, but it can have a hugely positive impact on your life, the environment and your community as a whole
